Ship Broking

The right vessel, at the right rate.

We connect cargo owners with the right ships — and ship owners with the right cargo — negotiating every fixture, sale and purchase with full market transparency.

Overview

What ship broking means for you

Ship broking is the work of matching cargo with ships. As your broker, we represent your interests in the freight market — finding suitable vessels, negotiating the freight rate and contract terms, and making sure the fixture is clean before anyone signs.

We work on dry bulk and tanker business as well as vessel sale and purchase. Every recommendation comes with the reasoning behind it: current market levels, the vessel's suitability for your cargo and ports, and the commercial risks to watch.

FAQ

Ship Broking questions

Something else on your mind? Send us a message.

How is a ship broker different from a freight forwarder?

A ship broker arranges the vessel itself — whole ships or large parcels — for bulk and project cargo. A freight forwarder books space for smaller shipments, usually in containers, and manages the paperwork end-to-end.

How is a broker paid?

Usually through a small commission on the freight, agreed upfront in the charter party. We are open about it from the first conversation.

Which vessel sizes do you work with?

From coastal vessels to large ocean-going bulk carriers and tankers. Tell us the cargo and route and we will suggest the right size.
