Chartering
Charters shaped around your cargo.
Voyage, time and bareboat charters for every vessel type — structured around your cargo, your schedule and your budget.
What chartering means for you
Chartering is how you secure the use of a vessel — for one voyage, for a period of time, or long-term. The right structure depends on how often you ship, how much control you want, and how much market risk you are willing to carry.
We help you choose the structure, find the tonnage and negotiate the charter party, then stay involved through the charter to manage laytime, performance and any claims.

Which charter type is right for me?
For a one-off cargo a voyage charter is usually simplest. For steady volumes, a time charter or contract of affreightment often works out cheaper. We will walk you through the trade-offs.
How far in advance should I start?
For bulk cargo, ideally two to four weeks before your loading window. Shorter notice is possible but can limit the choice of vessels.
Can you help with demurrage claims?
Yes. We review laytime calculations and the statement of facts and help settle claims fairly.
