FAQ

Common questions

Can't find what you need? Email info@santkash.com and we'll reply within 24 hours.

What does a ship broker actually do?

A ship broker is the intermediary between cargo owners (charterers) and ship owners. We find a suitable vessel, negotiate the freight rate and contract terms, and stay involved until the cargo is delivered.

Which cargo types do you handle?

Dry bulk commodities, petroleum and oil products, chemicals, agricultural goods, minerals, containers and project cargo. If your cargo is unusual, ask — we will tell you honestly whether we can help.

What do I need to share for a quote?

The commodity and quantity, load and discharge ports, preferred loading dates (laycan) and any special handling needs. The more detail you give, the sharper the quote.

Do you handle smaller shipments?

Yes. Through freight forwarding we handle everything from a single LCL shipment to full vessel loads.

How quickly will you respond?

Within 24 hours on business days, usually much faster. Time-sensitive fixtures are handled by our operations desk around the clock.

Need to move cargo?

Tell us what you're shipping and where — we'll reply within 24 hours with options and pricing.
